All postgraduates are requested to pay up Provisional Life Membership (PLM) fees by March so that they can get all the journal issues for the year. Please pay Rs, 2100 (D.D...Favouring IADVL Maharashtra branch) as Provisional Life Membership fees. After completion of degree or diploma it will be converted to Life Member on submission of certificate to secretary.
Please send needy patients to our free skin clinic on every 2nd and 4th Sunday (10am to 12Noon) at following address Flat 6,Bldg 4A,Prateeksha Nagar, Sion, Mumbai 4000022. Vitiligo counseling centre on every 4th Sunday at the office with cooperation with Shweta association.
From 2008 a separate session will be held for Dr. S.L. Wadhwa award during CUTICON of Maharashtra State Branch. This will follow the Dr. A.C. Parikh Award session and shall comprise research papers (studies) in the subject of dermatology, venereolgy and leprology. Just like a paper is nominated for the Dr AC Parikh Award by Heads of Departments, one research paper (study) will be nominated by each of the Heads of Departments of various Medical Colleges from Maharashtra for the Dr. S.L. Wadhwa Award. The best paper amongst all these presentations will be selected for Dr. S.L. Wadhwa Award. Only research papers will be admitted for this session. These include reports of clinical trials (sponsored or non-sponsored), epidemiologic and investigational studies. However, multicentric pharmaceutical sponsored studies should be avoided. Case reports and case series of up to 10 cases usually do not qualify for a research study. Kindly email title of study and name of presenter to secretary by 21st November 2008.
All members are requested to take lectures for general public with the help of Rotary or Lions clubs regarding nature of vitiligo and spread awareness among general public regarding vitiligo on 19th May 2008.CD for presentation is available with Dr.R.G.Torsekar (Mobile 9820338816).Members can also contribute articles to newspapers ,magazines on this day. Please email activity report to secretary. Finance up to Rs1000/ (Rupees One thousand only) can be sponsored by IADVL Maharashtra branch on request for this activity.
